Thanks for the quick replys,
Ok so more information, turbo hoses were replaced with Samco silicone ones about 18 months ago (top and bottom, alfa red they are, lovely.....) low diameter vacuum acctuatuion hoses from solenoid to turbo also checked at last service 3 months ago, at Peak Alfa and he assured me they were fine, and i believe Roger wholeheartedly. Finally EGR.... well when i got the car after 2-3 months it threw an EGR warning so i took it off and cleaned it and also completely freed up the solenoid which was stuck fast. The whole thing was full of c**p at this point, as was the manifold, got as much of that out as i dared, but it's not easy still attached to the head is it. Now for a bit of light relief one afternoon about a month ago i had the EGR off agian and it seemed remarkably clean, so i don't think the EGR is at fault, this is a different code than the first one 18 months ago, surely a coked up EGR would throw the same error first? The only thing i can say is that i reused the gaskets on the EGR manfold and exhaust side, which i know is an error but i didn't hav ethe spares and the old ones semmed fine they're only plan metal anyway aren't they? I also haven't touched the MAF or MAP since owning the car (2+ years) do these need looking at?
Finally i should have mentioned that it has been idling a bit lumpy lately plus on very low throttle (almost coasting) at about ~2,000 rpm it occasionally misses a couple of times then clears like the ECU is hunting for the right settings...... foot down and it accelerates fine though, anyone think this is a related issue, i have been told that the standard mapping can produce flat spots and lumpy running under certain load throttle settings, so i haven't worried too much about this. I have been thinking of a remap and EGR delete at Peaks for a while since Roger started doing it at his place but i'd like to make sure there's nothing sinister going on in the plumbing before i commit to that.
