Help bloody dipsick

ok just topped up with oil,all seems well then i check other side of dipstick(the side with no min or max mark)jeeze looks like put to much in...which side is right?ive checked oil on hundreds of motors before with no going on

You may have got some oil on the dipstick that has run down the tube.
Check it again when cold.

i had my car in for an MOT recently, and they checked the oil. I keep a regular check on it so i was surprised to hear them say it was very very low. Apparantly they check the dipstick on Alfa's at least 4 times before being confident of a reading!
