Nearly time to change the Crank Sensor
Through previous threads I have concluded that my crank sensor needs changing.
I have ordered the sensor, and it should be with me before the weekend. So the next job will be changing it.
From what I have read about doing this, it is a little awkward if anything. The way my car is parked (on a steep slope) and obviously not running, it would be great to be able to do this from above, as gonna be a struggle to push it up to me garage and the ramps. I have actually removed the battery and tray and also the air intake pipe to do some other work, and I get the impression this needs to be done to gain access from above, but I will be working blind. The main question is, "is there a wire I can locate at the top of the engine that will lead me down to the sensor or to the general area?"
When I do this work, I am going to take plenty of photos and post them on here as it looks to be a job plenty of people ask about, and I suppose an idiots guide to doing this from above might be helpful, especially if written by an idiot of the highest magnitude.
