156 2.4jtd 20v missing exhaust bracket?
Ive recently had my 2004 20v 2.4jtd SW serviced and when i got it back it was making a horrible rattling at idle. Luckily I have a friend with a ramp so i got it on there and took a look underneath to find the front section of the exhaust resting on a bolt that sticks out from the side of the gearbox. This appears to have happened because when doing the oil filter he removed this section and didnt replace it in the correct place. I fixed it by undoing the bracket from the down pipe to the turbo, which allowed me to move the front section a bit and clear the gearbox. Problem solved, only I noticed that there is no exhaust bracket from the turbo until all the way past the flexi connection where there are two rubbers. That means that the whole front section is hanging from the turbo. Is that right or am i missing a bracket somewhere at the front. It doesnt seem enough to me to be supported by the turbo. I cant find drawing or photos of how it should look anywhere, so I have nothing to compare it with. Can anyone help with this please. photos or drawing of a missing bracket if there is one would be most helpful.
