I don't but I removed and refurbed the one on my TS without removing the servo.

I kept losing brake fluid and traced it to the two plastic elbows on the master. I managed to get the master off by undoing the mounting nuts, feed pipe clips, banjo joint for two brake pipes and pulling the variable timing solenoid out of the way. IIRC I took the engine steady bar off as well. There was just enough room to pull the master cylinder out. I replaced the seals and the two plastic elbows (which were the subject of a recall I don't remember seeing!).

Getting it back was harder as the servo is string loaded, so it was a pain to get the cylinder back on. I found one of the brass elbow washers I dropped a couple of weeks back stil in some oil soaked dirt on the crossmember. Been there about 4 years!

Whether that helps, I'm not sure as I've not been in a V6 engine bay! But it may be possible without having to dismantle half the dash to get the pedal assembly out, which is the proper way according to elearn!

Oh and be wary of ordering them off these internet sites .. I tried two and both sent the wrong master cylinder!

cheers, Gary

Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 Brake Master Cylinder (GT)

A couple of years ago I replaced the master cylinder on my V6 GT. Looking under the bonnet of my V6 156 it's not that different. I didn't remove the pedals but I did take out the driver's seat in order to get my aged and unflexible body at the right angle to reach the fixing nuts on the MC. I also removed the intake plenum etc. to get better access from the engine bay. Other than that it was fiddly but straightforward.
