I was gonna fit FSDs on my current 2.4 but not so sure now, it's not that I don't rate them as they are very good, had them on 4 cars now including the 147 2 litre that OperationAlfa used to own, definitely wasn't too choppy for me. All 4 cars have used Eibach Pro springs too. First was my 3 litre, then my 156 GTA, then 147 TS and then 156 1.9 jtd 16v..
The reason I haven't already ordered my 5th set is that I can't stomach the potential cost of failure should one of them break. We never had any problems years ago so I'm wondering if it's a bad batch? The lack of manufacturer support bothers me.
I'm not sure about the alternatives. The car is on 17"s with standard Veloce suspension and actually rides and handles pretty well, I am fitting Eibach arbs but I'm not sure if I want to lower it or not. A Quaife is on the cards too, do may not need it, but visually it could do with it, the front is high after stripping 32kg off it. Thinking about the b12 kit but have yet to drive a car with it fitted. I was very impressed with the KW v2s I had years ago but don't have £1200 to splurge so that's out of the question. Already have Eibach springs in case I do decide to drop it.. Decisions decisions.. FSDs or something else?
