No start and no central locking
Thought I should post this in case someone has the same symptoms. Went to the 20V ths morning to check a few things and to find a nice puddle in the passenger footwell so last years problem has returned
I raised the front carpet to mop underneath and leave it to dry and then checked a few other things then went to lock it to go for a cuppa. Alarm arming but no central locking at all. No central locking when locking via key in drivers door. Further checks found that the car wouldn't start either. Went in swearing to myself trying to rack my brain what it could be and then realised that all I had done to the car apart from remove trim was move the passenger seat back. Sure enough when I checked, the fuel cutoff switch had tripped. A simple press and then all is back to normal. Didn't know that pushing the seat back could do that or that a tripped fuel cutoff stops the central locking working. Makes sense I guess as you dont want the doors locked after an accident.
So....if your car won't start and the central locking won't work then try resetting the fuel cutoff under passenger seat!!
