156 V6 idle rough

Hello my 156 V6 has flat spots when cold ,the engine holds back at slow speeds ,no problems when i stick my foot down, (apart from loss of petrol lol) its only minor at present .It didnt do it till i put a decat unit on it .No lights on dash or anything Ps it has an awesome sound ,which makes me ignore the issues. I am prepared to remove it if its going to cause ecu problems ,any advise please.

Usually sensor related - could be lambda or MAF.

I had an 01 V6, the wire that connects the MAF to the ECU rubbed through on the bulkhead and caused a short which caused rough running and backfiring do maybe check that too.

Check simple things too, air leak in rubber tubing to throttle etc. Sounds like the kind of symptoms you would get with running lean perhaps.

Mines running a little bit rough, i have a small split in the breather pipe which is what i think is causing it, so it is being replaced next week. Hope this helps.
