Flat spot/hesitancy around 2000rpm

GT JTD 2007

Sorry, this is definately the last issue i post today!

When i hit around 1800-2000 rpm i get hestitancy wether accelerating or declerating, and this tends to happen in third/forth gear, but is not "always" consistent, seems to happen 75% of the time.

Wierldy this happened around the same time i was having issues with the car going into 3rd gear but that may have just been a coincidence. (See this thread... http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ml#post4868635 )

What can this be? MAP/MAF sensor need cleaning? (what and where are they exactly?)
I wondered if it had anything to do with changing from my normal fuel supplier, as normally use asda but "may" have concided with using BP.
And finally should i consider forte or similar?

Hi Sunil, if you want to try an additive I would recomend this stuff to try first (I've used the petrol variant and found it better and more noticeable than Forte), If you're still having issues after that I would recoment that you take the car to someone with the Fiat diagnostics machine, or you'll end up pouring good money after bad (I speak from experience )

Just thought i'd update this thread with some possibly useful info (makes a change from me always being the one asking questions!), but since almost completely stopping using Asda/supermarket diesel and using predominately Shell Fuel Saver diesel this problem went away. Obviously my JTDM didnt not like Asda fuel in the long run.
