Sounds like a painful bill on the way. Can't afford a genuine alfa part so will either go cheap option new or re conditioned. Seen a few online for £250 or so with 2 years warranty and made of stainless steel that top link for example.
How many hours labour should a mechanic charge for this if it is knackered front cat and is it a simple job. I have a mechanic mate who has changed brake discs and pads and serviced wife's car before it's his hobby though not his job. He is very good though and has ramps etc,is it simple enough for home doing or get the pro's in?
