The manual for the scanner says that my particular model omits 3 extra modes that are only occasionally used by dealers. So it's either the pins for those or something else in which case I may have more probs than it came up with, you obviously know why there are 16 pins so it might be handy if you give an explanation instead of just writing '16 pins!', doesn't really tell me that much
. When it was tested before, there was a MAF problem, I cleaned the MAF last night, reinstalled and fingers crossed nothing came up. I know yo can do cables for Fiatecuscn but I don't have a rubbish computer so can't use Fiatecuscan
Anyhow, thanks to some awesome info and photos I've collected off this forum over the last couple of weeks, I today stripped off the coilpack covers (lots of tight bolts), took off the front cam cover, sprayed them all. I then changed the plugs and after a good clean I moved 1,2 and 3 coilpacks to front, 4,5,6 to rear, hopefully the misfire on 2 will be gone, but if the coilpack is faulty at least I only have to take the front cover off. If there's still a fault on 2, it's a garage job.
Just need to let the top covers cure and can get them back on on Friday, no leftover bolts so far, but will be nipping down to Clerkenwell screws in the morning for some nice replacement shiny bolts.
Gotta say for the most part of the day I was shxxxing myself, especially when i got the front cam cover off, pretty chuffed now that most of it is back together and feel like I've got to know the engine set up better now.
