Better performance after ECU reset - normal???
I have just replaced the battery on my 156 2.0 TS - had a few issues with it so I took it to my local dealer.
While it was in they did a diagnostic and it came up with a Lambda error, which they did not pay too much attention to as they said it could have been caused by my multiple attempts to start the car...
Anyway, drove the car home and it performs much better than it had been doing. There had been an initial reluctance for the engine to rev when starting off, but this is now gone.
Is it normal for a 156's performance to improve after an ECU reset? Or was/is my Lambda sensor faulty and can I expect the fault to return? When I had a faulty Lambda on previous cars I really knew about (no power over 3000 rpm)
Any thoughts gratefully received!
