156 overheated now won't start!
Hi folks I'm really worried my 156 has been fried! Basically it's overheated, the engine seemed to reduce in power (no acceleration) then as managed to reach the hard shoulder it cut out all together. I was on the motorway at the time, as soon as the engine didn't feel right a quick glance towards the temp gauge showed the needle pretty much off the other end of red hot!
Luckily I wasn't too far away from home, and it's pretty safe where it is, so I've left it a few hours to cool down, gone back and although it turns over it doesn't start. It doesn't even try as though there's no fuel getting through (I tried the fuel cut off - no joy). I disconnected the battery for a few hours too.
Has anyone got any ideas before I attempt getting it recovered home?
