Where do I begin! MCSF, water pump replacement
I own a 52 156 1.8 t spark
Any help/advice would be much appreciated (unsure if this is all linked and please be kind as my knowledge is pretty limited)
Until very recently she was running like a dream. I had the usual wear and tear and had the cam belt replaced etc..
About 2 months ago the MCSF light would flick on while the petrol was about quarter full and when I filled it up it would go away.. I read on here that there can be a fault with the sensor.
Last week there was a rattling and screaming from the fan belt when starting cold and low revs. I have taken it in and was told I need a new water pump which will be about £300 fitted.. I was at my mum and dads so took it easy back to Cardiff to get the work done this week.
On the way back though the MCSF came on but this time was constantly flashing and there was a severe lack of power when accelerating... The engine also is also shuddering when ticking over.
I've now not driven it since but I was wondering are the two linked at all or is this coincidence...?
The reason Iím asking is I need to work out if its worth getting all the work done in comparison to the value of he Car or just cut my losses. which would be gutting
thanks for your time..
