did you drill pilot holes? and im not sure about drilling through my door sill... does the door not meet flush? or have you used counter sunk screws? thanks a lot for your effort witht the photo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I drilled pilot holes, but they were really small.
Screws are self-drilling type, they dont have nuts from the other side. I used screws with wide and flat head, so that they hold the plastic fine.
There is enough place between the door and the sill, the doors dont catch the screw.
I am not affraid about the corrosion, I painted the screws with the paint used for car underbodies. It makes a thick layer and contains bitumen or rubber or some resin, I actually dont know. Under the wing, you can get to the screws from back /thread/ side too, so you can paint them from there.
Actually, these screws were in the package with my Lester side skirts, so I guess the manufacturer recommends them to be used
I will make some close-ups how I fitted the skirt today and will post them tomorrow morning. I think picture will help you more than my description.
