I don't like it when people dont end their threads, so heres my conclusion.
Turned out that I've been looking at the wrong diagram for the rev-counter for the last 9 months. e-Learn was helpfull as eer at directing me to a dial that I don't have.
Turns out the problem with the broken live was also to blame. I hadn't noticed but the central warning light cluster between the two dials was also not working, on my car this recieves the oil pressure signal from the switch, and relays it to the infocentre.
As there was no power to this device, it was not resending the signal to the infocentre, and that was causing the warning.
I only realised that I was looking at the wrong dial drawing when I noticed my oil pressure warning light was not in the rev-counter, I eventually found the correct information in the descriptive part of eLearn.
So if you ever get a similar problem, check what dials you have before you start, as there is about 5 different variants. Hope someone finds this to be usefull info in the future!
