Brake light on all the time

Alfa 156 JTS. Just had handbrake cables, nearside calliper and some corroded brake pipes at the rear replaced. Now got brake lights on all the time and the handbrake light on. I guess it is the brake light switch needs replacing but I need to check other stuff.
Where is the brake light switch and how do you change it?
Ta in advance

the brake light switch is just above the brake pedal, works n the same way as the fridge light, as the pedal is depressed the spring loaded popper moves out and makes the circuit, it is adjustable as it is threaded.
