Recon engine - Millers Running In oil?
After my last reconditioned engine again started to drink a litre every 400 miles again, the engineer has decided to put another engine in under the warranty.
I need some advise on what oils to use to avoid future high oil use and bore glazing.
Im planning to use Millers Running oil for about 30 - 50 miles and then get an oil and filter change, using the Millers running in oil again. (engine flush to remove particles?)
A further change after 500 miles, would you use the running oil again or just ordinary mineral oil? (engine flush to remove particles?)
I guess I can top up any use with normal mineral 10w40?
Then at a 1000 miles would you change to a good quality semi-synthetic prior to switching to fully synthetic at around 6000 miles?
