156 1.6 p1654

First post and a short story. I'm looking to get a 156 1.6 Ti as my first car.

Found a decent one, decent service history, bodywork in good nick, looks well maintained etc. But I used a fault code reader and got "P1654", "Recirculation Override Circuit Malfunction".

I've searched this forum but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on what exactly causes this. Stuff like broken wires connected to the throttle body, ECU B plug connectors, cracked intake pipes etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this fault? Should I run away from buying this car because of this fault?
