Lock ring on steering wheel nut
JUst changing my steering wheel on the GT and come across a a lockring that I didn't have on my 156.
I've attached a pic and wonder if anyone knows if I'm supposed to prise the lockring pieces all the way back flush with the back of the wheel so I can get a socket onto the the bolt. I assume this is what I have to do as I assume the lockring is welded to the wheel. Thing is if I do prise them all the way back the ones on the corners of the bolt will surely shear off. Can't see why the lockring would be there if I was supposed to put the 24mm bit over the ring and bolt and remove all at the same time, although the 24mm bit does seem to fit over the lockring.
