Another Fan Thread (Sorry)

I know I know , it's a strange one this and probably nothing to worry about.

My GT 1.9jtd never has the cooling fan kick in, it was most noticeable over the weekend when sat idling in traffic for quite some time. The temp never rose above 90 on the gauge so in theory the fan wouldn't need to kick in, but it was 26 degrees outside so I thought it would probably need to. I could however have it kick in when the aircon was on as obviously the condenser was calling for it.

Is there a problem? does the cooling fan set-up differ from the condenser fan in terms of sensors/relays etc?

My resistor is by-passed so it's full chat or nothing, and I know diesels don't produce that much heat when sat idling

Your right its nothing to worry about, I have done my rad and it took about 10 mins just to feel the stat open and that was after reving the car and it never got hot enuff to start the fans... If you realy want to know if they work then find a nice steep and long hill and give it some welly then at the top open the bonnet ,
mine wasnt getting very hot but doing stange things so I drained some of the antifreez out and topped up with water as I had mostly antifreeze in there because when I filled up with a/f I didnt have room for the water and it only got about half a liter of water lol
