engine change

Just a quick one to see if anyone can help me drop the engine the last few inches, out of my 2.0ts 156?
I have disconnected everything from the engine/g/box and have slung the engine to an hoist but am having a bit of difficulty in clearing the sub frame where the lower wishbones sit!
Does anyone have any tricks I can try to overcome this obstacle.
I have been doing the job solo up until this point.
I've tried the obvious, crow bar, rocking the engine whilst supported on the slings, etc to no avail.
The only way I can see in getting enough clearance is to take out one or both lower wishbone sub structures, which I don't really want to do unless neccessary.
Thanks, Pete.

It will come out without the lower subframe/wishbones being moved.
An extra pair of hands is a huge help though.

Personally I'd take the alternator off it gives a little bit more wiggle room.
From memory clearing the gearbox side first then the timing belt end worked for me

Cheers Davffc,

I'll be having another stab at it in the next few days equipped with a scaffolding pole and a bit more energy!

I managed to get my V6 out that way with a fair amount of wiggling, so it should be possible with the Twinny.
Perseverance is the key
