Has the cars dying battery caused a problem and can this be solved with an ECssssU reset or is there an air con reset?
On 147 when you reconnect the battery you should leave the car for about a minute without turning on the ignition. Aircon resets during that time. After about 15-20s after reconnecting battery you can hear the flaps in the dashboard moving and adjusting/learning their end positions. I guess 156 will work like that as well, at least the post 2002 ones with facelifted interior and canbus.
BTW, dying battery can confuse the imobiliser and it will loose connection with the keys that need to be recoded. Happened to me and also other people on the forum. Keep dead battery with 11,8-12,2V connected to the car for longer period and you may not start the car again even with good battery without recoding the keys.
