Spark Plug Chambers
I cleaned the spark plugs last night, and noticed that 2 Chambers nearest the cam cover had quite a bit of oil in them. I took the plugs out and the oil drained out into the engine. Cleaned all plugs, and started the car and plumes of white smoke came out of the exhaust rear. After a quick spin it seemed to clear.
I took the advantage of cleaning the plugs as the Fuel Consumption went through the roof, with the chambers having oil in them, would this affect the Fuel Consumption, as the car seem to be running fine, but running even better now.
Also before I did this, i go approx 36 miles on £10 of fuel. but the MPG was giving a good return. Has anyone got any thoughts about the above please.
