Window Regulator Fitting Help!
The rear driver's side window motor on my 156 GTA is shot.
I bought a replacement regulator assembly, not new, but used.
Took off the doorcard, removed the plug from the old motor and plugged in the new one, operated the switch and the new motor moved fully one way, then back the other.
Easily removed the old regulator etc, glass panel freely movable by hand.
I've just spent an hour trying to line up the top regulator bolt and the holding pin for the glass! if the top regulator bolt went into the hole in the door, the pin wouldn't quite line up with the glass panel, and vice versa. Lots of brute force and some swearing later, and it's in.
All bolted together, tightened up, plugged in, and guess what?
The window doesn't move. Can hear the motor turning for a second, both ways work, but no window movement.
Any ideas please?
