I've been having a problem with the selespeed on my '03 ***** 147 that I'm not sure how to fix, I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help.
A few months ago it started to occasionally not engage 2nd gear and just jump straight to 3rd, over time to the problem grew more consistent and then it started happening with 4th as well. Its to the point now where 2nd will never engage and 4th only very rarely. It also seems like its more jerky than usual well taking off from still, and on occasion it will actually slip completely out of gear and put me in neutral.
What I've tried:
The general consensus on these sorts of issues seems to be to adjust the clutch rod. So I did that, it wasn't that far out to begin with (28.7), but I adjusted it down to 28 anyhow.
When I finished I bleed the clutch which completed successfully, but then I tried the EOL calibration and fiatecuscan came up with an error - "Eng. positioning error" I have no idea what that means, does anyone know?
I also tried doing a Clutch degradation index calculation but that came up with error "0F" once again I'm not sure what this is. The clutch degradation index value is about 14600 - this seems very high, does this mean the clutch may need replacing?
I also did a clutch self-calibration adjustment, FES said completely successfully but it didn't seem to update the self-calibration value so I'm not sure if it actually worked or not...
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and/or how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated
