Thanks for your replies - much appreciated. Just checked steering rack & it does have same number of turns left & right. Have only just had the lower wishbones replaced and few other bits & bobs on the suspension. Tyres are new (less than 1000 miles) and pressures are ok. Have taken her out for a run this morning - vdc cuts in when accelerating hard and revs at 2200rpm+ in third & forth gears (not brave enough to get the higher gears at those revs on these lanes!). If I drop the revs (or change up a gear without accelerating) the vdc stops cutting in. Sometimes the VDC backs the engine off, sometimes it doesn't... ABS doesn't seem to be cutting in this morning whilst yesterday it did. Really odd is that it seems to do this on the straights rather than the bends... but have to say, it all seems to be improving, ie. I'm having to drive harder to get the vdc to cut in. So, is it possible that the computer than runs the vdc "learns" new parameters after steering adjustments ? Or is she just wanting attention ?!
