i also thought that taking the resonator off can cause damage to the inlet valves too? like the back flow on the exhaust system
I don't know why i thought that though,(think i read that somewhere) but i intentionally bought a used resonator second hand and fitted it because i was worried about fuel consumption and the cold air feed. when i did fit it, the acceleration was allot smoother

I doubt it. The difference in mine is very subtle. Try it. I got a snorkel from breaker for a 10 . Doesn't take long and if u don't think like it out the resent or back.
The hardest part is taking the under tray off (mine is all cable ties)
