You'd think within either this thread, the thread that the-kevster started or the 6 pages in the FES forum we'd all know exactly how to connect the resistor and diode.
It seems you need a 1.5KΩ or 1.0KΩ (0.1 Watt) resistor and a 1N4148 diode connected in series across pins 2/3 of the drivers's switch connector H44a (the smaller one of the two) and pins 9/8 of the passenger switch.
Nowhere in any of these threads can I find which way around the diode needs to be connected. I can find cathode to 'GND' in the FEs thread, is it just a case of putting a meter on the pins and finding which of 2/3 (driver's) and 9/8 (passenger's) goes to ground/earth?
Then of course a paid for version of FES is needed.
Is it worth it I ask?
All the best
Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
