Ive heard that some people alternate the variator and water pump change, for example:
36,000K Full Belt(s) change + Tensioners, and water pump...
72,000k Full Belt(s) change + Tensioners and Variator, and alternating from this...
or is it advisable to change Variator + water pump every belt change?
as for the DTI Gauge, you need to use that to work out the Dwell angle and divide by two, meaning there is free play in the pistons gudgeon pin when it reaches TDC, in CW motion, mark TDC for this then go antiCW and mark TDC for this, divide by two (using paint mark on crank pulley) and there you have True TDC.
