Strange 147 problem
Evening, so the story goes...
I had the rear of my car jacked up today to fit 2 new tyres, all was fine, but as i was driving home it sounded like the exhaust was blowing alot and it was bogging down on power alot (if i revved too hard it would stutter) and this was an on and off problem happening at random times.
Got home and had a look round, no blow in the exhaust at all, oil, coolant, temprature and idle was all fine and normal. So went for another spin and the car would barely move, so popped the boneet and revved, and all the sound seems to be coming from the air filter and not alot of gas coming out the exhaust. (its got quad ragazzon exhaust and CDA air filter).
Spoke to a friend and he said it sounds like the cat could be blocked, so got the main cat out, seems like its been hollowed and still got something rattlling inside, but i dont think this could block it. Tommorow i will getting the pre cats off and check them over, if there is a problem i will be getting de-cats made up.
And this is as far as ive got, Anyone have any other ideas please? Oh and its a 2003 147 1.6Ts
Thanks in advance
