I waxed up the car today for the first time in a long time. Really pleased with the results, but after an hour as I was walking towards the car, I got a bit of a shock.
The area on the front bumper especially below the black plastic strips below the lights, it’s like someone got a paintbrush and splattered the bumper.
Now I know the bumper is heavily battered with stone chips and there are a lot there and it never looked that bad seeing as I don’t really wax that often. But the wax I used was a carnauba paste type wax, yellow-cream in colour and when it dried off in the pits from the stone chips against the proteo red, it looks terrible.
I don’t want to get the bumper resprayed yet, but it might be my only option, as it looks really bad. I’d like to hear from others with similar results as this, especially on cars with darker colours. What kind of wax have you used?
I thought about a red coloured wax for the front, but I’m not too fond of those types of waxes, but it could be my only option…
