Problem Connecting to Selespeed ECU

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here, although I've been reading for quite a while

I'm having a problem connecting to the selespeed ECU on our 2003 147. Its probably something really simple that I've overlooked but I haven't been able to find a solution yet

I'm connecting with a vagcom OBD2 to usb cable. I've tried both alfadiag and fiatecuscan. In alfadaig if I select selespeed CFC208F it seems to connect ok, but then in the sensor tab the drop down list only has Engine Speed and Clutch Speed as options, nothing to do with the clutch rod position (which is what I'm trying to find).
In fiatecuscan it won't connect to the selespeed ecu at all, and If I run a scan it only comes up with the Bosch Motronic Me7.3.1 (which I can connect to fine and read all sensors).

So does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? Any help would be appreciated!

I found the VAG cable only finds the sele box about 1 time in 10, where as a ELM327 cable gets it every time, maybe that.

Thanks for the replies, I have just ordered an ELM327 cable so hopefully that sorts it out, i'll let you know.

Also I am using the free version of both AD (although I thought this was completely free now) and ecuscan, could that be a problem? Shouldn't it still at least connect correctly?
