I am facing a nightmare at the moment!!!!
I am trying to remove the rear passenger side shock absorber the old one totally had it seperated from corrosion.
I have got a used replacement complete with spring so it should save some hassle!
Now here is the story,
I removed the bolt placed in the boot space needed help from a neighbour as it was spinning on the piston...
I removed the stabiliser ... a pig to remove as well....
I removed the lower nut and screw (this is the top of the two bottom screws) had to blowtorch them a bit to be able to unseize...
I removed the nut of the lower screw the one that hold the arms together as well.... had to blowtorch that as well!! BUT the bl@@dy screw will not come off!! the head does not seem to have any sort of spanner head ... it is just a rectangular piece! This is meant to be pushed out, how on earth... it seems seized beyond any expectation.
What shall I do any ideas? a few pics are below to where I am stack at the moment. I tried to blowtorch it to no good ... and also have put plenty of WD40 and left it for the day ... I think 5hrs are enough
This is the image of the replacement part to go one ...
The image of where the nut came off ... but left me with the screw
And this is the picture of the other end of the screw with the head...
Please advice guys
as the car is blocking my drive it is OK to have it there for a day more ... but cannot have it stuck there for more
Anyone local who can help also welcome
