Long-time FiatForum member and even longer-time potential Alfa owner, I've been mulling over either a GT, Brera or 159 for a while now - currently rocking a Fiat Bravo 1.9 150 MJ Sport (2008) - I do have a 40 mile commute after all.
I've browsed the forums and have identified the potential issues (boot rattle, timing belts - any more) but was wondering more specifically about the following:
LSD - Is it worth it, and is it as durable as a standard model please? Also, for any GT that has had this fitted aftermarket or as an optional extra, how can I tell that it is there without putting the front of the car on axle stands?
Stereo - My Bravo has Blue&Me - it also has a dodgy CD player. What are the head units like in the GT's, reliable and easy to upgrade?
Engine - I believe that the non-Cloverleaf models have the same 150HP weasel as my Bravo - is this tuned in any way differently to mine however, is the turbo the same etc (appreciate that this is a bit of a touchie to answer).
Model - Is any one model considered the best package per pound generally - I had homed in on the Blackline as it seems to be the best combination of equipment for the price, however red paint and tan leather is so appealing.
Just any other thoughts or comments appreciated really. I guess where I am at right now is considering losing some of my toys (Blue&Me etc...) for a more exciting car - does the GT still give you owners that 'wow' factor when you look at it out of the window each morning?
Anything else I ought to know please? Thanks for your time and consideration.
