Nope, never had a box apart before. ever.
3.3 viscount? good man...
I apprently am a "kinesthetic" learner, and have to actually see stuff in real life for me to understand how it works.
I bought a 1.8 astra GTe engine for £20 once and stripped the whole thing down, just to see what the bottom end and crank looked like!! LOL!
I've taken tons of pictures on the way to that point in the above shot, in the hope that a) theyre useful come rebuild time and b) i'll make up a PDF on how to strip one. Theres just nothing out there in the world on alfa gearboxes. Yeah, theres a how to fit the lsd on the jtdm lumps but nada on the little box like mine. Oddly enough, the selectors have "lancia" engraved on them.
The box i am running at the moment has a knackered synchro on third caused by the previous owner not changing the top hat bushes in the selector linkage, it makes me sound like a learner going from 2-3!! (usually cane the pants off 2 and go for 4!!)
Most of my repetoir has been rwd too, so having the diff in the box is novel...
