Also found the plastic "shelf" above has alittle drain hole to the left (middle) of the car. Mine had dried soil in there so must have been blocked at some point....nice little reservoir for drawing moist air dontcha think?
Mine too, its amazing how we all share similar problems.
1. Its been a week or so since i removed the pollen filter. Since removing the old clogged up filter the improvements are multiple.
I have not used the A/c in over a week
The heater is operating much more efficently, without the A/c anything above 18 and the cabin is roasting
The windows rarley fog up, even if they do in 5 seconds the windows are clear.
2. Its been over a week since I re-built Alfenia's air intake sytem & cleaned its MAF.
I have driven approx 400 miles. The car is now doing very near 30mpg, compare to less than 27mpg the previous week. Same routes/roads & driving style during boths weeks so its a good comparison. The car *is* an absolute pleasure to drive now, makes me smile when i drop to 3rd at 55mpg to pass out *other* drivers :d...man can she whizz to 7200 in 3rd.
3. Brakes are still * lacking* but i have done nothing about them. Maybe coming from a car without ABS to a car with ABS there is a different *feel* or *trust* required.... any tips?
4. I have a shopping list which i will fill tomorrow. I'll be leaving approx €160 with AR for parts.
