I'm thinking about blanking the EGR on my 2004 115 JTD, but will it set off the MCF? The exhaust is getting a bit smoky, and i occasionally get MCF's when i accelerate in between 60 - 70 mph.
Do you think its worth my while to blank? and do i need a full blank or one of the ones with a small hole?

I have a plate with a hole and no error codes so i'm well happy but i'd get a lead and read the codes and with that you can test the ERG valve , and see if thats the reason before blanking it off
