Alfa 156 v6 clutch replacement
I've been using the guide published on this forum, and all is going well so far. One drive shaft and engine mount to go.
I have a full set of 3/8" and 1/2" sockets (torx and hex included), ring spanners, a couple of hydraulic jacks etc and haven't struck any insurmountable issues. I have used 7 sticking plasters though, and about 5 hrs. The instructions to remove the bumper, PS pump etc. are misguided.
...a few days later...
And the gearbox is out on the ground, all by myself (and a trolley jack). I was caught out when gearbox oil dribbled out when I undid the RH side driveshaft as draining the 'box isn't mentioned. Not a big puddle until I got a container under it. Modifying a 13mm ring spanner for the top starter motor bolt was a great tip. Also, use Copaslip on the manifold/exhaust bolts.
