Gearstick Rattle

And yet again another problem with my 147. The gearstick rattles (jangling metal noise) and vibrates violently from 2500 rpm onwards, especially in 1st and 2nd. It also vibrates on idle.

As its got a month left on its warranty ive taken it back to the dealership. Theyve told me theyve tried everything and that Alfa UK have advised them that it could be the dual mass flywheel.

My issue is that if it is not the DMF i'll be charged for labour (around 600). My other gripe is that they only changed the clutch a couple of months ago, so surely they must have also checked the DMF?

Can anyone please advise if theyve had a similar issue and if in in fact the DMF could be causing the problem?

I thought the DMF should be changed when the clutch is changed.
Also the warranty company should send an engineer to confirm a problem, then they should ok the dealer to carry out the work.
Thats what alfa care did for my head gasket and my gearbox.

Yeh that's exactly what I said to them, to which they replied that they only investigate the fault (te clutch) and nothing else. My warranty also ran out yesterday so I'm gonna take it elsewhere.
