HELP needed: 2002 156 selespeed problem
First post on the forums, glad to be here!
I own a 2002 156 selespeed 2.0 TS (155ps-187Nm) at around 157000 km's, bought it 8k ago and last week it had a major maintenance (cost around $1400 - unfortunately parts and labor is very expensive in Turkey).
Now, I have another problem and hope that it is not the sele pump or actuator.
The selespeed pressure drops and (I believe ecu) sends signal to the relays in the fuse box to increase the pressure via pump. There is a very annoying clicking sound coming from the relays every 2-3 seconds. I took the car to the special Alfa mechanic today and there were no faults in the diagnostics. I have to drive my car for next two days, but planning to leave it to the shop on Friday.
Besides the clicking noise, car goes to N every now and then.
Finally and very rarely (did it two times - though the first time it was on-going for 25km), there is a harsh sound while changing the gears (as if one forgets to push the clutch) and the gears refuses to change from 3 to 4.
Do you think is it the faulty accumulator, pump or actuator? Is it an easy way to understand?
Best regards and thanks in advance...
