Apparently, the 20v NA and the 20v turbo flywheels are not the same . . .
I can see that there are pro's and cons to the solid/dmf debate, but there are a lot of conversion kits out there, including for 2.4 fords(rwd transits, mainly).I think as there are so many, but none for our cars(maybe like the lack of Haynes manuals?)can they be that bad?any detrimental effect,in my opinion, would be a longer term problem, possibly partially alleviated by mechanically sympathetic driving? No 'lugging' it in the wrong gear,no rampant wheelspinning starts etc . . the sort of thing that would extend the life of a dmf,too . . .without the expense, maybe?
I suppose it depends on where the next weakest link is,engine mounts, gearbox, diff or driveshafts . . . .if its driveshafts then that would be ok,if it's the 'box . . . .mmm.
Tom,if you still have the flywheel,I may well be interested.
