Selespeed "went" into R on full speed
Had an issue recently on a friend's '00 156 SW 2.0 Sele. He was driving along the road at some 35mph, when after a minor bump on the road that caused the car to shake the sele suddenly beeped and displayed the "R" as if someone would engage reverse gear at full speed.
Of course the R was not engaged and the car continued to ride and react to the throttle, but it wouldn't change the gear until he pulled over and restarted the engine. Now gears are changed fine in both city and manual mode, but what the hell was that??? A potentiometer, gauge, or the infamous selector rod botom housing crack?
Thanks a lot in advance.
