Wave selespeed - oil change and clutch rod adjustment

We have recently purchased a 147 selespeed, we were having several problems with the gear change. We have it on diagnostic software, cleared faults, it says that the clutch rod is a couple of mm's to long, how do I adjust this? and is it worth adusting? Also before we bought the car somebody had topped the selaspeed with the wrong type of transmission fluid. How do I change this oil? and do I need to flush it?

Regarding your first question, you'll need the Alfadiag (genuine Alfa diagnostic)to adjust the rod.

Have a look at the "How to" thread at the top of the page. That will point you to this post

As Senna1 said, you will need Alfadiag or you can use FiatECUScan to adjust the clutch rod length - did it myself on a 147 over the Easter weekend, which was running at 30.4mm (ie 2mm too long) and the changes are much faster now.

Hope that helps.
