Hopefully someone can help with an issue I'm having with my 2000 W 156 2.4 JTD 10v
Basically, it drives like the turbo has decided to take the day off, you put your foot down and the turbo doesn't seem to boost, none of the usual turbo noise (nor any untoward noises) or smoke. No warning lights or anthing else to report apart from a slight misfire when cold.
When warm, the turbo occasionally
seems to boost, but perhaps not as strongly as before.
I'm hoping that the turbo itself hasn't gone, I have had two turbos fail on my one on a Pug 406 the other on a VW Passat and the symptoms where different to those I'm experiencing now.
Spoke to the specialist who did my timing belt who mentioned EGR valve, having done some research online to see about removal/cleaning I have no idea where the EGR valve is, assuming my car has one!
Other point to note is that my car runs a cone filter induction kit thingy not because I'm a chav but because the original airbox fell to bits when trying to fit a new air filter element
This has never caused an issue before but worth mentioning incase this might have damaged the maf.
I tried unplugging the maf and it didnt make an difference.
Can anyone offer any suggestions before I scrap it
