over enthusiastic cooling fans - 156 2.0 tspark
Since ive had my car (about 3 months now) the engine cooling fans have come on and stayed on as soon as the ignition is switched on.
OBD reader said that the temperature sensor is broken, and the mechanic at the local alfa place confirmed that fans always on is a symptom of a faulty sensor, so I dutifully replaced it with a genuine part from said alfa dealer, yet the problem persists.
The car runs fine, however I am yet to see the engine temp climb above ~50C.
as the car engine is never properly warming up, i assume this is doing my fuel consumption no good, and probably not doing the engine itself much good either? (though I do make sure not to exceed 3.5-4k rpm in the interests of not stressing a 'cold' engine)
