I have recently bought a 147 Selespeed Lusso 02 reg which at the time of buying was not driveable due to the selespeed pump not priming.
After a quick metering of the relay contacts it was found to be energising but not making the contact, filed the carbon splatter off it and all going well, replaced the relay after that to ensure good operation.
Now my problem is that when i turn the steering wheel right the system flags a fault, it then clears when straight. I've connected fiatecudiag and it says it is getting a wrong voltage but given that it is only one spot i'm thinking that there is a dirty spot on the steering wheel wiping contacts which take the signal from the paddles down to the ecu. Does anyone know how easily accessable the steering wheel wiping (not window) contacts are. I'm thinking of a bit of contact cleaner and a cloth to get rid of the dead spot.
Thanks in advance
