I need help!! just had a diag, read below u'll be amazed
Evening all, Could really do with your advise, i have just brought a Alfa 156 2.0L JTS 2002 mod.
The car is running in limp mode (3000rev max) and has been for 7months (brought it knowing this fault) i was lead to believe that the ECU may be at fault so a 300quid sort out, However now i am not too sure, just took it to auto lusso for a diag and here are the results.
[*]Flow Meter ATT[*]Coolant temp sensor ATT[*]Throttle potentiometer MEM[*]Upstream Lambda sensor 1 signal ATT[*]upstream 1 preheating resistance ATT
Downstream Lambda sensor 1 signal ATT
Downstream Preheating resistance ATT
Upstream 2 Preheating resistance ATT
Downstream lambda sensor 2 signal ATT
Downstream 2 preheating resistance ATT
accelerator potentiometer ATT
Evaporative Valve ATT
potentiometer throttle track ATT
track 1 accelerator potentiometer ATT
A/C compressor relay ATT
potentiometer throttle track 2 MEM
Auto lusso are recommended i get rid, and i can understand why, however i am very loathed to as i have fallen for the dam thing already.
IYHO do you think that the ECU could be causing all of these problems if it is faulty. I might add that the car is superb to drive just has limited rev's atm but the engine is smooth and no rattles/noises are coming from it. although it it also slightly misfiring on startup.
Please please any help would be great as im starting to seriously stress out over this now!
