Re: Why Buy a 156?
yeah, what i meant by that was, well, on the fiat bravo owners forum, german cars, well, its just not done! i figured alfa drivers would take that to an even more extreme level, and flame the n00b for asking for comparisons of an alfa with a skoda. my dads been driving an octavia, and while I think its underpowered, he thinks its fine. perhaps because i've been driving a smaller, lighter, but more powerfull car, his feels like a pig to drive! however, he's not had a problem with it (touch wood) and its very well screwed together, as opposed to glued like my fiat, lol
i took a pug 307 diesel out for a drive last week. it was my third choice, and now its not a choice. i think i would wear out the gearknob the amount of times i had to change down. the book said it was 90bhp, but the book must have lied. either that or it wasn't fining on all cylinders! once you got it into gear it was alright, but what a pig to get moving otherwise. my dads octavia is 90bhp, and seemed more flexible, although not compared to the petrol obviously
