'm having problems with the swirl valves rod , and getting error code P2013 , the rod gets stuck and the valves can't move , when disconnecting the rod its possible to clear the code and it won't come back (as the ecu just checks the actuator not the valves it self)
But I'm coming from a turbo failure and i saw lots of dirt on the EGR valve so , I guess it must be completely coated in soot too .
I was thinking at first to try to clean it but it seems that it could be also loosing pressure...
And its a big job just to take it out, thats why I think it might be worth it to just have a brand new one , as the car has already 145000 km.
Also to minimize "down time" .. remove replace . done !
I just can't swallow to pay double the money for the same part at an alfa dealer. its not fair,
If it was an Improved version I could posibly evaluate the option of paying twice the value but it seems to me that it s exactly the same part
